International Criminal Law

Im Rahmen des Masterstudiengangs zur Europäischen Rechtspraxis findet im Sommersemester 2024 an drei Terminen eine Gastvorlesung zum Thema „International Criminal Law“ statt.

Als Referent konnte Prof. Dr. Gerhard Fiolka von der Universität Fribourg (Schweiz) gewonnen werden.

Genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression have marked the 20th century and are an ongoing reality in our times. But how do states and the international community react to those crimes? The course gives a brief overview over those core crimes and their international and domestic prosecution, but also the challenges of prosecuting them.
